Organ and Soft Tissue Biopsy

Cutting/Punch biopsy systems for extraction of a tissue cylinder for fine tissue examination.
The 3 devices on offer share an identical biopsy cannula which has graduation markings, a very sharp tip and large notched biopsy chamber.

Each of the devices - DeltaCut, Core-Cut, Primo-Cut are well-suited for multiple biopsy extractions from the same patient in the same intervention.

Delta-Cut

A Fully automatic system provided with two triggers to allow an ergonomic handling for right and left-handed persons alike. The puncture depth (throw) is infinitely variable in the range of 15 to 22mm. DeltaCut has both an optical and mechanical security system.

Core-Cut

A fully automatice biopsy system. Due to the specific design of the biopsy system, the instrument can be comfortably operated by left and right-handed persons. The device has both visual and mechanical security features. Puncture depth (throw) of 22mm.

Primo-Cut

A semi-automatic biopsy device used for biopsy of soft tissues such as the prostate, kidneys, liver, and a wide range of soft tissue tumours. Select from two puncture (throw) settings, 10 mm or 20 mm depth.

3 SYSTEMS - A SINGLE BIOPSY CANNULA
Depth Graduations 1cm cannula markings assist in performing biopsy at desired depth.
Sharp tip The sharply ground cannula tip is electropolished for optimal biopsy result.
Large Biopsy notch Maximizes biopsy material capture.

CORECUT
A fully automatic sterile disposable instrument, CoreCut is suitable for multiple tissue extractions from the same patient. Due to the specific design of the biopsy system, the instrument can be comfortably operated by left and right-handed persons.

Simple arming of device
Simply pump lever twice to activate.

Ergonometric design for comfortable left or right-handed operation. Choose from two trigger buttons to perfom biopsy.

Simplicity of Use
Perform biopsy in 4 simple steps:
1. Activate CoreCut by pumping lever twice.
2. Insert CoreCut into patient and advance to desired depth (using graduations and/or Ultrasound guidance).
3. Release safety mechanism by pressing SAFE Button
4. Throw one of the two Trigger buttons to perform the biopsy.

Function Status Display
The 3 possible states of CoreCut are visually indicated:
• Unactivated
• Activated, Safety: ON
• Activated, Safety: OFF

Capture of Specimen
A. CoreCut (activated, Saftey:ON) is positioned before specimen target area
B. Safety removed and CoreCut Triggered: Notched inner cannula advances and fills with tissue. (CoreCut's depth of throw is 22mm)
C. Outer cannula springs over inner cannula, closing over notched biopsy chamber, thus protecting the sample from contamination.
D. CoreCut removed from patient, specimen carefully removed for examination
Procedure may be repeated multiple times.

PRIMOCUT
A semi-automatic disposable biopsy system, PrimoCut is suitable for applications in which one or more tissue samples are taken from a patient in the same intervention.

Uses
PrimoCut is used for biopsy of soft tissues such as the prostate, kidneys, liver, and a wide range of soft tissue tumours.

Simplicity of Use
Perform biopsy in 4 simple steps:
1. Adjust PrimoCut's throw to 10mm or 20mm
2. Insert PrimoCut into patient and advance to desired depth (using graduations and/or Ultrasound guidance).
3. Release safety mechanism.
4. Advance manually inner cannula to point of resistance to perform the biopsy.
